The second time he is tickled, he falls over backwards, rolls from left to right, then gets back up again, saying, “That was good.” The doll moves best on a hard, flat surface and struggles a little when placed on carpet. But that was the only setback discovered during the hands-on testing process. A discreet on-off switch on his foot allows you to turn the doll off, if you’re in need of some quiet time. Customer Review: Worth it if under $20
I got a super deal on this around Christmas - I think it was only about $13! It was definitely worth $13. At first it made my one year old cry. I think she thought there was something wrong with Cookie. But then she got used to him and she loves him. He made my husband and I laugh like crazy the first time we tried him out, especially when he says at the end “Oh, THAT GOOD ONE!” I agree with others; he is a big battery hog. I haven’t changed out the batteries yet, so he can’t move around as well right now. But he does still bend over and shake a bit, and his voice is still good. So it doesn’t really matter to a one-year-old! I am glad we got it, but might not be as thrilled if he had been over $20 (as he is as of this writing.)

i gave this toy to my goddaughter who’s a year old - at first she was hesitant because of the tumbling action - but the laughing sound and the voice of cookie monster made her smile - and us adult swoon! Soon after the first jitters, she was already playing with it and enjoying it! Her parents and I grew up on Sesame Street and its wonderful to see that it still has a wonderful effect on the present generation.

Customer Review: Essential for leather in a car!
I have been putting this on the leather in my 2001 Montero since I purchased the vehicle. I apply it about 3 or 4 times per year. My leather looks practically brand new and most people that get in it comment on how new the leather looks. I can only assume it is because I use Lexol conditioner on it. I see other cars that are 7 years old and the leather is trashed…not mine. Leather still looks and smells new! If you own a car with leather, this is a must have product!

Our boy loves these. We can make healthy treats that equal a glass of juice. They work great, you just hold them under hot water a minute to loosen the shell and the bottom part holds the drips. Its impossible to eat the last inch of popsicle in the holder, so we just break it into a bowl.

My 11 month old loves these (and has since she could first grab) but they do not work like they are designed. They are impossible for her to squeeze and they are hard for me to get them to connect and stay put. They are also a cleaning nightmare. They get very gross on the inside and I cant seem to ever get them clean. The directions tell you to drain them after each use but I can never get all the water out. If I can get them clean enough I will just stop using them in the bath.

Customer Review: Full of Ideas You Can Actually Do
If you are looking for a book on church planting packed with ideas and not just sage advice, you will do well to read Ralph Moore’s Starting a New Church. Recently I met Ed Stetzer from Lifeway Research and we talked at length about church planting. This was the first book he recommended I read on the subject. I can see why. One thing I’m discovering is that every church plant is unique, so finding a book that is relevant to your particular church planting situation is not always that easy. While there are now plenty of books to choose from, it can be difficult to find books that are mostly filled with helpful information rather than antiquated ideas and methods. Ralph Moore certainly knows church planting. This book comes from the pen of one who has done it on several occasions. So the four parts to this book provide a logical progression of stages that seemingly apply to anyone who is planting a church. I will summarize each of these four parts. First, Moore encourages the reader to think through the church plant. In this section he speaks personally to the church planter. Is this truly a calling from God? Are you really ready to do this? Do you know where you want to go with this effort? Do you know where to get help? (Because you will certainly need it.) One great emphasis that Moore makes is the necessity of a church planter having the support of his local church. It does not have to be financial support. But Moore insists that no one should attempt a church plant without clear backing from his own home church. In Part Two, Moore even discusses a procedure for making the proposal of a new church plant to the home church. This section on designing the new church covers such practical areas such as the new church’s values, developing a core team, and funding the new church. When considering funding Moore makes the helpful comment that you need two budgets: an operation budget for covering recurring expenses; and an opportunity budget for those larger expenses that come along at unpredictable times. I note this advice because it is part of a larger philosophy that Moore communicates throughout the book. The goal is not to build an organization that merely “makes budget” every year. The goal is an effective church plant. You do not want to become “a tiny pod of operational expenses and a few people” (p. 92). He advises new churches to keep operational expenses at a minimum so that more can be spent on opportunities. Office space and even meeting facilities are operational costs that most people think of when discussing “church.” Technology and missional opportunities are better places to spend your money, Moore advises. Of course there are many more great ideas in this book that I cannot take time to recount. But in Part Three Moore discusses the actual planting of the new church. It is important to plant a church with a flexible church structure to facilitate growth, and Moore supports the rapid multiplication of churches as the best growth strategy. Thus in Part Four, “Anticipating the Future,” he concludes the book by explaining how every new church should begin their new life as a reproducing church. What I found most refreshing about this book was that it was full of practical advice without giving the impression that Moore was interested in creating businesses. His passion for church planting was clear. But he did not seem to be corrupted by the temptation to seek power in starting a new church. An easy read, yet one that provides a wealth of practical advice, I give this one 4 1/2 stars.
Customer Review: The Voice of Experience
Written by an experienced church planter, this book seeks to motivate and equip others to do the same. The author believes that planting new churches is the best way to evangelize the lost. He has lived this out: the two churches he founded are responsible for planting more than 200 congregations around the world. The author’s methodology is marred in places by a man-centered, “seeker sensitive” approach, and the theology is fairly thin. There is scarce mention of the glory of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, the salvation of the lost or the centrality of the Word. A cult using these same strategies would probably grow. Nevertheless, the author provides many points of practical wisdom that, used critically and grounded in a more robust theology, could prove valuable to prospective church planters

If you really want your child to learn sign language, this is not the greatest DVD. The “My Baby Can Talk” series is better (no, I don’t work for them.)This BE DVD goes too fast to teach little ones signs, and is boring for both me and my little one! There’s also “Baby Signing Time” (good but annoying songs, however the little guy likes it) and “Talking Hands” (looks a bit dated but has the best pace for learning).Wouldn”t buy this DVD again had I previewed it first.

Customer Review: AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS RECOMMENDS NO TV FOR CHILDREN UNDER 2!
The name “Baby Einstein” can lull you into thinking it’s okay or even good for babies to watch t.v., but the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no television at all to children under 2 because so many studies have proven its harmful effects on children. Studies have shown that:

- for every hour of television a baby watches a day, their chances of acquiring an attention deficit disorder increases by 10%.

- among babies ages 8 months to 16 months, every hour spent daily watching programs such as ‘Brainy Baby’ or ‘Baby Einstein’ translated into six to eight fewer words in their vocabularies as compared with other children their age.”

- brain wave activity in babies is slower when watching television than when sleeping.

I believe television should be used SPARINGLY and with caution, and without any delusions of it increasing baby’s intelligence. As for making them more intelligent, Dr. William Sears says, “relationships, not things, make babies smarter.” The easiest way to make babies smarter and calmer is to carry them a lot. Slings, pouches and carriers help make this more manageable. Studies have shown that:

- carrying babies an extra 3 hours a day resulted in 40% less crying.

Babies who are frequently carried are proven to pick up verbal skills faster, and develop better core muscle strength and balance. I found the entire series at my local library. I especially liked Signing Time! Volume 4: Family, Feelings & Fun DVD and ‘naming’ feelings also increases emotional intelligence in babies.

Customer Review: a horrible buying experience, followed by a disappointing product.
Caveat, emptor! I placed my order on November 2, 2007 and finally received the product on March 24, 2008. Spend a moment with your calendar and allow that to fully sink in. When it finally arrived, I found that the product is poorly engineered bordering on defective. The screwdriver bits which are supposed to fit into the bit driver and the reserve pocket in the handle simply fall out and are lost. You are left with a pair of pliers and a knife, for which you paid a great deal and waited months to get. I wholeheartedly reverse-recommend this product. I would send it back to the factory for repair if I had any faith in the design or in the abyssmal customer service of the manufacturer. They would in all likelihood give me a replacement of equal quality, and make me wait for it a very long time, and that’s a problem. I wonder what happened to the Leatherman company. They used to be great, but not, it would seem, anymore. This product is good looking. That’s about all I can say for it. Fulfillment is lacking, quality is poor, and you’ll wait a very, very long time before it arrives and you find out you’re totally disappointed. Click elsewhere. And if you are asking yourself if I’m all wet, see the amazon forum below for detail. I was a true believer in Leatherman products for over a decade, but I will never buy from them again. I’m too disgusted even to deal with the ordeal of sending it back. If I had to guess, the Skeletool will occupy a spot in a little-used drawer until I have it in me to accept that my patience and good faith were for naught, my time and money and optimism wasted, and throw it in the trash. Customer Review: Very Pleased with Skeletool
I just recieved my skeletool after months of waiting (like many of you) and I believe that it was well worth the wait. It is evident that leatherman did indeed use the extra time to make sure that quality was up to par. The skeletool is wonderful. The design is stunning, the craftsmanship excellent, which is what has become expected from leatherman, and the knife seems very sharp and durable. Others have mentioned the knife being “stiff” and while it is a bit, I wouldn’t be upset if it never loosened up, I don’t believe that it is too bad and can still flip it open with one hand easily. The skeletool feels amazing in your hand, light but solid and sturdy. I can’t even tell when its hooked to my belt its so light. Oh and also, the bottle opener works wonderfully! I most certainly recommend it to others, despite the long waiting list and increasing price.

I’ve been wearing the Dickies double-knee work pant for about 5 years now and wouldn’t trade them for the world. Unlike normal khakis, these pants are highly durable, extremely comfortable with extra room in the legs, they do not suffer from static cling, and they repel stains expertly. What I like best, though, is that they look nice enough for wearing in a business casual environment, while standing up to the wear and tear of work requirements.

Customer Review: Good Attempt at a Dry Subject
This book is a tough one to get through, not through any fault of the Author but due to the dryness of the material. I am currently in the process of reading a book on every US President and this book seemed to be the best one out there on Zachary Taylor. I would recommend if you are trying to find out more about the subject, but if you are looking for a great historical page turner, you need to look elsewhere.
Customer Review: Comprehensive but often dull biography of our twelfth President
I am currently reading a biography of every President in order and Bauer’s book seemed like the obvious choice for Zachary Taylor. This book is a bit difficult to rate fairly as I doubt any full biography of Zachary Taylor could be made into a great read. Indeed, Bauer’s biography is excellently researched and organized. The writing, although a bit uninspired, is easy to read and well presented. At times, however, this book is very dull and in my opinion Bauer tends to error on the side of going into too much detail. Taylor’s military career had few standout moments and most of the first part of the book focuses more on Taylor’s transfer from fort to fort along the western frontier. If there is a President for which a short biography would suffice Taylor is it, and while at slightly over 300 pages of text Bauer’s tome is by no means exceedingly long, at the end of the book I felt that it could certainly have been cut down by about 100 pages while still providing a comprehensive biography. Undoubtedly, however, this is the best one volume biography of Taylor available (why anyone would need to read Holman Hamilton’s two volume work is beyond me) and certainly more than adequate for its task.

I regret I bought these nuts. There are too much sugar and fat in them. Not a natural fat from nuts, but rather saturated fat from “milk” chocolate in amount of 30% of daily allowance (there are 2.5 servings per bag). Milk chocolate covering is probably the worst I’ve ever tried. Planters make good nuts, but chocolate is not their strength. But you’re already fat it won’t hurt you!

The cashews are soooo tasty and the chocolate makes them even better. I carry a bag in the car to snack on when i get hungry. Like when i am out running errands, waiting for appointments, or out shopping. Instead of eating junk food, i have a healthy alternative. they are also good for an after dinner snack.

This is an easy to follow dvd. The ball seems to be of good quality, but the air pump is kind of a pain to use. I put between my knees and make pumping up the ball a workout in itself(haha). The ball is a little big for me- when you have to roll over on your belly and reach the floor- my arms are short or something??? I had a really hard time doing some of the moves correctly. (I’m 5ft 4in) Not bad though if you want a beginners ball work out… my husband loves to use it for ab workouts– he’s 6ft 3in….

The process of creating this beautiful statue is known as Bronze Art Casting. This process uses the ancient lost wax process and has been around for thousands of years. This labor intensive process takes several weeks from start to finish. Bronze is an alloy. It is a mixture of 95% copper, plus small amounts of lead, tin, zinc, and silicon.

The following includes a step by step description of the procedure:

1. The artist creates an original sculpture from either clay or wax.
2. A rubber mold is made of the original sculpture by applying numerous coats of rubber over the original. After this is cured, it is removed. This new rubber mold will show every exact detail from the original. This mold is used to create duplicates of the original design.
3. The rubber mold is filled with molten wax. After the wax cools, the rubber mold is removed from the wax. We now have a wax duplicate of the sculpture.
4. The artists will hand-finish the wax to match the original.
5. Wax rods and wax funnel are attached to the wax duplicate. This will alleviate the trapping of air and gas.
6. The wax duplicate is coated with a liquid ceramic. This is done several times to create a stable mold. This is cured for a few days.
