Customer Review: Don’t give up on it!
I just wanted to encourage buyers of the Moby Wrap.. not to give up. Because, once you get the hang of it, it’s great.

I bought one.. and used it when my baby was only a few days old. It was great for quick walks. But when my husband bought a Baby Bjorn, I thought that was much easier. I began using the Bjorn, until my back started to kill.

I was researching other wraps, when another mom encouraged me to try again with the Moby wrap. (I quit using it because I was not comfortable carrying my baby in the “newborn hug hold” or “cradle hold” anymore, and it seemed like such a project to prepare the wrap, AND, I thought it would be really hot in the summer.)

But, after a few tries, I am hooked. Not only is it much more comfortable then the Bjorn, but it breathes better, and my baby will nap in it longer then the Bjorn. (Discovering the more advanced “hug hold” also helped a lot! My baby is still to little for many of the other positions.)

Most importantly, my back feels much better using it.

I just wanted to pass that on..

Because I almost gave up on it entirely, but it turned out to be a great buy, and I would recommend it. Again, just give yourself a chance to get used to it.. (the yards and yards of fabric are a bit daunting.)

And.. I would still recommend a Bjorn. We have the one with the back support, and my husband loves it. I tend to to think it’s better for dads, as it uses more upper body strength.

This product is great when you don’t want to bring a big stroller or travel system around and when you want to do house work and be hands free. The only thing is it’s too hot for summer for me. But I do use it occasionally, I’ll surely use it for cooler weather.

Even the best blades on the best table saws wobble to some extent, yielding imprecise cuts or unsightly kerf marks on the edge of a board. A good blade stabilizer like this Freud model can make the difference between common woodworking and fine woodworking. Freud’s blade stabilizer has excellent balance and more weight than competing models, and, when used with a good blade, it produces excellent results every time. While the stabilizer is great for ensuring accurate rips in thin stock, as well as perfect dados and rabbets, you may need to remove it when working with thicker stock because the size of the stabilizer can prevent the blade from raising to its full height and keep the saw from reaching its maximum tilt. Following some of the other review suggestions, I bought the set and installed one plate on my table saw and one on my radial arm saw. Between adding a link belt and the stabilizer to my table saw, I now have virtually no vibration in the table saw. With the radial arm saw being direct drive there was less noticeable difference for vibration, but the saw cut is beautiful. I especially like the 3.5″ size of these plates in that they take away very little cutting depth from my 10″ saws. I would recommend them as a simple and inexpensive way to upgrade the quality of your saws.
Customer Review: Not worth it
I agree with the review that you should stabilize your saw and not your blade, but at some point you are going to want a blade stabilizer. If you do a lot of crosscuts/miters on your table saw it really helps out to give you that “shinny” crosscut. This stabilizer is the worst that could ever have been invented. Who wants to have their blade offset approx 1/4″? There are two stabilizers in the kit and I have yet to see a table saw that you can remove the original flange mounted to the arbor so you don’t warp your blade with only one stabilizer. (The stabilizer is larger than most arbor flanges) Freud really should have thought out this design. They make wonderful blades, but this product makes them look like idiots. You have to adjust your fence to compensate. Homemade box cutting jigs are shot. The only nice thing is that they are not as large as other blade stabilizers. I threw this one in the trash and bought the forest 5″ blade stabilizer. Does everything I want. I can use it with my dado. Which is a Freud. DO NOT USE ONLY ONE OF THESE. That can cause serious injury or death.

Customer Review: An amazing wrench
I was surprised at some of the negative comments about this wrench. First of all, it seems to me to be as effective as the equivalent manually adjustable “crescent” wrench — with the emphasis on adjustable. There are some rare times when an adjustable wrench won’t do and an exactly size open end wrench from a set of wrenches may be necessary. In those cases, this wrench won’t do the trick any more than a manually adjustable crescent wrench will.

But lets talk of the 97.98% of cases where an adjustable open-end wrench is just what is wanted and needed. Here’s one that adds something useful — it adjusts wider and narrower at the touch of a button. Well, a spring-loaded momentary-on rocker switch, actually. Convenient for your thumb — doesn’t matter whether you’re right-handed or left-handed — there’s this rocker switch. Press one end of the switch and the wrench width opens up. Press the other end and it closes up. It doesn’t take much practice to get the hang of it, and in an instant you can resize the wrench to fit your application.

My first use the other day involved replacing the fill-valve inside my toilet tank. Where I needed a wrench was to loosen the supply tube’s hex nut — you know the one, it holds the bottom end of the water supply tube to the shut-off valve that comes out of the wall below the tank. I also needed it to tighten the same nut when I installed the new tube. It did the job admirably. Yes, my old manually adjustable crescent wrench would have worked, but that takes a bit more effort to get the wrench jaws to the right diameter. With this battery-operated wrench, the adjustment was performed in an instant with the push of the rocker switch with my thumb, and without trial and error.

I’ll be using this wrench a lot in the future, no doubt about it.

Yes, the grip is a bit bulkier because of the rubber coated battery compartment that forms the grip on the handle, and the handle is a bit wider than a manually adjustable wrench. But it was actually more comfortable for me, perhaps because I have fairly large hands. (I suspect that people with small hands might find a manually adjustable wrench with a slimmer handle better for them.)

Anyway, the other thing is, this is a fun wrench to use, too, a nice toy for people who do handy things. Well worth the $24 and change, I find.

Got one for Christmas, used it for one project, installing gas lines in the basement. Wrench fell off the ladder and that was it, no more auto wrench.

The good part, returned this to a B&D store, they sent me 3 wrenches as a replacment.

I’ll be more careful with the replacements, but, this is not a regular tool, have to be careful with it.

I would not have bought this myself, nothing beats a good Craftsman open end wrench. I’ll find a use for it.

The book contained excellent descriptions and drawings for each stage of building our fence and gate. It also contained many lovely photos for inspiration. We needed no other explanation in building our fence but this book. Having never built a fence before we were finished in a weekend!

Years ago my dentist recommended we get a Sonicare and we did and I was immediately impressed with the difference. These replacement brushes fit our unit perfectly and my only complaint is after every use you have to take off the plastic screw piece or mold will start growing due to the trapped water underneath. The brushes last approx. 6 months before obviously needing to be replaced (bristles start to splay out) and the subscription program is great as I don’t need to remember to order them they just arrive at my door! We purchased the smaller head ones for our toddlers who love using “mommy and daddy’s toothbrush!”

I love this trail mix! Just the right mix of chocolate, nuts and raisins. The packs are very convenient and make it easy to take along in my purse or lunch bag. I knew when I bought this tool that the handle looked a little fragile for my needs, it flexes and distorts easily. Sure enough, after digging a few holes this spring, the handle broke off while twisting though some light surface roots. The design and features for the planter are wonderful, but it needs a steel handle.

Got one for Christmas, used it for one project, installing gas lines in the basement. Wrench fell off the ladder and that was it, no more auto wrench.

The good part, returned this to a B&D store, they sent me 3 wrenches as a replacment.

I’ll be more careful with the replacements, but, this is not a regular tool, have to be careful with it.

I would not have bought this myself, nothing beats a good Craftsman open end wrench. I’ll find a use for it.

Less engrossing than its 2004 predecessor National Treasure, Jon Turteltaub’s busy sequel National Treasure: Book of Secrets is nevertheless a colorful and witty adventure, another race against overwhelming odds for the answer to a historical riddle. Ben Gates (Nicolas Cage), the treasure hunter who feverishly sought, in the first film, the whereabouts of a war chest hidden by America’s forefathers, is now charged with protecting family honor. When a rival (Ed Harris) offers alleged proof that Gates’ ancestor, Thomas Gates, was not a Civil War-era hero but a participant in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, Ben and his father (Jon Voight) and crew (Justin Bartha, Diane Kruger) hopscotch through Paris, London, Washington DC, and South Dakota to gather evidence refuting the claim. The film is most fun when the hunt, as in National Treasure, squeezes Ben into such impossible situations as examining twin desks in the queen’s chambers in Buckingham Palace and the White House’s Oval Office, or kidnapping an American president (Bruce Greenwood) for a few minutes of frank talk. Helen Mirren, the previous year’s Oscar winner for Best Actress, wisely joins the cast of a likely hit film as Ben’s archaeologist mother, long-estranged from Voight’s character but as feisty as the rest of the family. Returning director Turteltaub takes excellent advantage of his colorful backdrops in European capitals and the always-eerie Mount Rushmore, and oversees some wildly imaginative sets for this dramedy’s feverish third act in an audacious and completely unexpected, legendary setting. If National Treasure: Book of Secrets doesn’t feel quite as crisp and unique as its predecessor, it is still ingenious and wry enough to laugh a bit at itself. –Tom Keogh

Customer Review: Fun romp
The writers scoured American history for another blend of adventure and historical fiction.

All the familiar characters are back, and they do a great job at picking up a few years later. The interplay between characters is great, as is the addition of Ed Harris as the nemesis. He brings a combination of threat and sympathy to his role.

I had low expectations for this, and was pleasantly surprised. So much so that I look forward to whatever they come up with for the next adventure.

Made in Heaven
In Made in Heaven, Timothy Hutton plays a young guy in 1946 who’s just been dumped by his girl and decides to go to California. On his way, he rescues a family from a car that’s driven into a lake–and drowns in the process. Of course, he finds himself in Heaven, and there he meets Kelly McGillis, a soul who’s never been born on Earth. The two fall in love. Just as they’re about to get married–just for the fun of it, since by the rules of Heaven they’re already married–McGillis gets sent to Earth to be born. Hutton pleads with Emmett, a figure who may or may not be God, who finally agrees to give Hutton 30 years on Earth to find her and continue their love. This 1987 Alan Rudolph film teeters on the edge of absolute cheesiness and steps over that edge at moments, but mostly it miraculously maintains a delicate, sweet, and affecting tone. McGillis is good, but Hutton is superb, demonstrating an honest charisma that makes him engaging even when he’s being a jerk. The depiction of Heaven avoids the patronizing, overdone joyfulness that too many movies fall into. Though the idea sounds like pure saccharine, Made in Heaven consistently sidesteps the obvious and comes up with something genuine. Rudolph is a prolific but erratic director (his stronger movies include Choose Me, Trouble in Mind, The Moderns, and Afterglow), but this is one of the ones worth seeing. Made in Heaven features Debra Winger and an uncredited Ellen Barkin, as well as cameos by rock stars Neil Young, Ric Ocasek, and Tom Petty. –Bret Fetzer

Customer Review: Absolutely awe inspiring movie.
Saw this when I was very young, maybe 9 or 10, and it somehow moved me in a visceral way that I simply cannot convey in words. But I never found out what it was called. With the memory of the powerful ending vaguely imprinted on my mind I vowed that I would one day find out the name of this movie. I have been clutching at straws for years trying to figure it out. Only recently did I find out, I’m now 25!
