Kenilworth Ave. project sprouts peaceful garden (Wilmette Life)
What began as a one-time project to clean up a weedy strip of land a decade ago in the Kenilworth Gardens neighborhood has blossomed into one of the area's largest prairie gardens. For three blocks along the north side of Kenilworth Avenue, wildflowers, grasses and giant prairie plants line walking paths in what was once a no-man's land and the focus of a neighborhood dispute.
